Business Intelligence & Power BI training

A dashboard is only useful if the numbers are right and it updates without someone rebuilding it. Our BI training covers the whole chain — sources, transformation, the data model, DAX, the report, and the refresh.

The BI chain, end to end

  1. Sources
  2. Power Query
  3. Model
  4. DAX
  5. Report
  6. Service & refresh

Most short courses stop at “Report”. The last step is what makes a dashboard stay useful.

Business Intelligence questions

Should I learn SQL before Power BI?

It isn’t required, but it helps a lot when your data lives in a database. SQL for Data Analysis takes three weeks and pairs naturally with Power BI.

Does the Power BI course work on a Mac?

Power BI Desktop runs only on Windows. Mac users need Windows installed, for example through Parallels or Boot Camp.

Is Power BI Desktop free?

Yes. Publishing and sharing on the Power BI Service can need a licence; the course explains what each option requires.
